And yet here we are in December 2013, approaching another successful year end with increases in almost all important categories for Santa Fe residential real estate sales. Unit sales are up, dollar volume is up, average and median home prices are up (last time I checked) and we have much to be thankful.

We continue our winter clinic series through the New Year and hope you that are Las Campanas golf members are taking advantage of this great opportunity to strengthen your games during the off season…there is progress to be made!
Last Friday’s jobs reports came in much better than expected, and with the unemployment rate dropping to 7% from 7.3%. Some of this data was influenced by federal employees returning to work after the Oct furlough. However, most of the job gains came in transportation, warehousing, health care and manufacturing.

Yesterday NAR reported the fifth straight monthly drop in pending home sales. Today, however, Census reported a big jump in new building permits, to the highest level in 5 years, and Case-Shiller reported the largest month-over-month increase in home prices since April. What should we make of these mixed signals?
