Be dazzled by operatic favorites as The Santa Fe Opera brings its current touring production of WORDS AND MUSIC to Las Campanas! Starring soprano Jamie-Rose Guarrine as Melody and baritone Sean Anderson as Webster, this delightful original show explores the relationship between words and music in opera, complete with many beloved arias and songs, and of course-a love story.  Jamie-Rose Guarrine recently appeared as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with the Kentucky Opera, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro with the Utah Opera, and Nella in Gianni Schicchi with the Opera Company of Philadelphia.  She was a Santa Fe Opera Apprentice in 2008, singing the role of Barbarina in The Marriage of Figaro. She will return to Santa Fe as a second-year apprentice in 2010 and sing the role of Papagena in The Magic Flute. Sean Anderson’s performances this year include Papageno in The Magic Flute with Sarasota Opera, Marcello in La Bohème with the Indianapolis Opera, and Silvio in I Pagliacci with Opera Columbus. He was a Santa Fe Opera Apprentice in 2004 and 2005.
