The Bluebird Nursery Will Be Open Soon!
Spring is just around the corner which means Bluebirds will soon be nesting in boxes all around Las Campanas. Bluebird boxes will be monitored every Sunday morning from April 7th through July 7th.Tom Egelhoff, The Club at Las Campanas Director of Agronomy, and his staff are working toward certification in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. One important component of the Audubon Program is community education and outreach. In order to increase community involvement, we are looking for Las Campanas volunteers to help Tom count eggs and fledglings. Our goal is to have two volunteers each Sunday.
Volunteers will meet in front of the Las Campanas Clubhouse at 8 a.m. Golf carts will be used to visit the nesting boxes which should take approximately three hours.
Please contact Kim Kulpa at 2bigdogs@gmail.com to schedule a fun Sunday morning in April and May to count bluebird babies. Come out and get involved!
