Now that we’re a full week into the government shutdown, many lenders have made adjustments to their 4506-transcript requirements, using alternative means of income verification.  Investors are challenged as to where to put their money because, in addition to the government shutdown, the debt ceiling will be reached – triggering yet another fiscal crisis.  Advice at this point is to lock rather than gamble with rate reactors.  Also, you might want to check with your currently pending loan lenders – to determine what measures they are using in lieu of 4506 transcripts.
