From Jason Epstein, Diector of Golf At Las Campanas:
Las Campanas members, we are pleased to be hosting the 2012 Santa Fe Concorso this weekend at The Club at Las Campanas and wanted to take this opportunity to make sure you are aware of its impact on the facility. With potentially 2,000 people scheduled to attend, we have made a few necessary adjustments to the normal operation of The Club. The event and participating cars will be staged on the ninth hole on the Sunrise course, weather permitting. We are expecting over 100 vehicles with a total value in excess of $50 million. In addition, the “All Things Real Estate” radio show will be broadcasting live on Talk 1260 AM KTRC and streaming live video of the event on santafe.com.
The weekend itinerary is as follows:
Friday September 28th
Driver’s Forum, The Equestrian Center 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.
The set up of tents and washrooms on the edges of #9 Sunrise will be going on throughout the afternoon. We expect minimal impact to play, but please note the hole will be marked for car staging during the week.
Saturday September 29th
The Clubhouse food and beverage operation will be open on their normal schedule.
Car staging on #9 Sunrise will be going on throughout the day.
12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Driver’s Luncheon in the Event Room
The front nine holes on Sunrise will be closed.
Members are strongly encouraged to use the valet for parking on this day. There will be several areas of the parking lot blocked off due to car staging and trailer drop off.
Cart traffic will be rerouted away from the back of the clubhouse.
Sunday September 30th
The Clubhouse will be closed for food and beverage service until 5:30 p.m. Brunch and lunch will be served at the Log Cabin beginning at 10:00 am. Snacks, drinks and wraps will be available for golfers in the golf shop.
The Sunset Golf course will be closed. Players wanting to use the practice park will be shuttled since cart access is restricted to Sunset only.
Golfers are strongly encouraged to utilize the valet for parking. The valet station will be set up adjacent to Chief Spotted Tail until late afternoon.
Access to the Clubhouse will be limited to members and event VIPs only.
Attendees will begin arriving at 10:00 a.m. and the event will end by 4:00 p.m.
VIP Parking will be handled by The Club valet, general admission parking is at the HUB and attendees will be shuttled to The Club via Trailhead Drive.
Only ticket holders will be allowed to attend the Concorso. Tickets are available for advance purchase at santafeconcorso.com and will be available on Sunday at the event.
Monday October 1st
Clean up of the grounds will continue with tents, washrooms and signage removed by midday.
The course should be back to normal by Tuesday, October 2nd.
The ticket sales, quality of cars, and enthusiasm for the event have surpassed expectations. If you have any questions or concerns you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me directly at 505.995.3535.
We do have room for a handful of volunteers to assist us both on Saturday afternoon and throughout the day on Sunday. If you would like to help please let me know. Thank you in advance for your understanding, I hope to see many of you at the Concorso, if not sooner.
