| Celebrate this very special day with prominent jazz saxophonist, Doug Lawrence, and the John Trentacosta Trio. Doug has been hailed “a great tenorman, a natural like Lester Young”. He has performed and recorded with such diverse artists as Benny Goodman, Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, Stevie Wonder and presently tours with the 17-time Grammy winning, world-famous Count Basie Orchestra, playing lead tenor sax. Doug has also performed for five American Presidents as well as the Queen of England and the Royal Families of Monaco, Sweden and Spain. Doug Lawrence will perform some hard hitting standards and ballads from the “Great American Songbook”, including some classic big band signature pieces including “Opus One” and Shiny Stockings”. | |
