We are pleased to announce the following important additions to The Club at Las Campanas’s staff. By David Loan, General Manager:

Equestrian Center Manager

After a thorough search, we are excited to announce that we have found our new leader for the Equestrian Department. Terry Berg, who was most recently the Operations Manager at the Santa Fe Equestrian Center, has been selected as the new Equestrian Center Manager. Terry’s first day will be March 17.

Terry has extensive equestrian management experience. She has managed the Santa Fe Equestrian Center for the past three years and also owned her own very successful facility – Santa Fe Colores where she boarded and trained up to 70 horses at a time. Terry is experienced in all disciplines and thoroughly enjoys teaching beginners – both adults and children.

We were looking for an individual that had extensive barn management experience, had an excellent track record with horse care, had superior people skills, and possessed solid management skills. Terry stood out in each of these categories.

We have seen some real improvements in the Equestrian Department over that past six months with physical improvements to the facility and with an increase in the number of horses being boarded. So far in 2014, we have grown the total number of horses by 10 – we are now at 42 and expect several more within the coming weeks.

There’s a great deal of excitement at the Equestrian Center so if you haven’t been there lately, drop in and say hi to Terry. We’re planning a Meet and Greet for Terry on March 27 – hopefully you’ll be able to drop in, meet Terry, and look at the improvements at the Equestrian Center.

Chief Engineer

We are also pleased to announce that Larry Johnson has joined our team as Chief Engineer. Larry comes to Las Campanas from Bishops Lodge Ranch Resort and Spa where he served as their Chief Engineer for the past two years. He also has served in the same capacity for 14 years at the Lodge at Santa Fe, and also The Inn of the Anasazi.

Larry will oversee all aspects of facility maintenance for all of The Club’s buildings and equipment. He will oversee a staff of four. The upkeep of our physical plant is incredibly important – we’re fortunate to have someone of Larry’s experience join our team.

Banquet Chef

Chef Andrew Nichols is pleased to announce the hiring of Walter Dominguez as tThe Club’s new Banquet Chef. This position is critical to the overall success of the Club’s Food and Beverage Department. We do a great deal of banquets, member events, and off-site catering, so an experienced Chef to manage that side of our business is very important.

Walter has extensive culinary experience in the area. For the past seven years Walter has served as the Chef de Cuisine at the Hotel Santa Fe. He also spent three years as the Executive Sous Chef at the Inn of the Anasazi and three years as the Sous Chef at The Old House at the El Dorado Hotel.

Walter’s experience and personality will be a great addition to our team. We’re looking forward to Walter joining us the week of March 24.

With the hiring of Terry, Larry, and Walter our leadership team is now complete. We’re all looking forward to a great 2014 and the contributions these three individuals will bring to our already outstanding management group.
