To Las Campanas Members,
Tomorrow on the Las Campanas members-only website will be a final draft of the new strategic plan for the Club at Las Campanas (Board/Committees tab; Board of Directors subtab). This plan is the culmination of work begun by the Board in collaboration with the Club Resources firm last fall. Many of you probably remember the focus groups and the Las Campanas member-wide surveys that were initial inputs to the work on this plan. The presentations on the plan’s progress last December and the subsequent web-based recording of that presentation gave all Las Campanas members a further look at our ongoing thoughts and ideas.
This posting of the final draft is the Las Campanas members chance to provide specific input to the plan before it is published in final form. Clearly, this will not be the last time that a forward-looking strategy for the Club at Las Campanas is prepared. As the economic and social environments that surround this or any club continue to change so must the planning. However, for now this describes what is believed to matter most and the approach to moving the club in a direction the Board believes is supported by a majority of the Las Campanas members.
There are many details that are being carefully filled in and implemented by both the Board and its committees that do not appear in a document of this type. It is a guidance document. Please help the Club at Las Campanas improve it further by keeping your comments at the “strategic” level. A final version is expected to be published early in May.
Your comments should be e-mailed to our General Manager, Jim Muldowney at firstname.lastname@example.org. We welcome all comments received prior to April 29th.

Bob Busch, Chair
