Las Campanas Santa Fe- Golf Update for the Golf Members From the Pro Shop Professionals

Happy New Year! It has been a mild and golf friendly first half of winter in Santa Fe. With that, the Professional Staff is looking forward to an action packed and very productive week in Orlando for the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show. In addition to sitting with vendors, sourcing merchandise, attending educational seminars, we will be meeting with quality intern candidates to round out our 2017 golf operations team. It’s going to be a great year as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary and host our first USGA national championship.

Despite the cooler weather this time of year, there is ample action in the Golf Operations department here at the Club;

TPI Golf Fitness Training – Thursdays & Saturdays
Jumpstart your 2017 golf conditioning program beginning Thursday, January 5th from Noon – 1:00 pm. TPI and ACE certified personal trainer and Golf Professional, JD Daigle will lead participants through timed intervals at a variety of golf specific exercise stations in the Golf Performance Center. Classes will take place every Thursday and Saturday from Noon to 1:00 pm. Sign-up on Foretees or call the golf shop!

Ladies Weekly Clinic – Wednesdays
Matt Smith is hosting a Ladies Golf Clinic for players of all abilities. There will be two (2) sessions offered each Wednesday.  The first session will be from 12pm-1:30pm and the second session will be from 2pm-3:30pm with a minimum of three (3) participants and a maximum of six (6) for each session.  Clinic topics will cover the fundamentals of the full swing, short game, course management game plans, plus more.  We will have a weekly sign-up for this clinic.

Las Campanas Ski Day – Tuesday, January 10th
Hit the slopes with your Golf Professional staff at Ski Santa Fe on Tuesday, January 10th. We will plan to meet at the Quad Chair (Base of Mountain) at 10:00 am. For those of you who can’t make it up until later in the day, we will again be meeting at Totemoff’s at noon. Skiers of all ability levels are welcome. With snow in the forecast, it should be a great day!
