Las Campanas Golf Update

June 27th, 2012
Dear Las Campanas Members,
As many of you are aware, Professionals Erin Kato, Christopher Nieto, Charlie Becker and the Las Campanas Director of golf will be participating in a “100-Hole Golf Marathon” on July 3. The goal is to play 100 holes each for a grand total of 400 holes in one day.
This unique charity event supports two great causes. The first is the Las Campanas Community Foundation’s Scholarship Fund, which helps financially support post-high school education for Club at Las Campanas staff members’ children. This is an opportunity many of these youngsters may not have access to without your charitable contributions.
The second charity we are playing for is the Sun Country Section PGA’s Junior Golf Fund—each of us is very proud to be a  PGA member. The PGA’s Fund provides access to golf for elementary and middle school students who would otherwise never experience our great game. The Fund subsidizes entry fees for underprivileged families to many local golf tournaments and also provides golf access to many at-risk juniors in New Mexico through outreach programs. This program is invaluable for the way it teaches youngsters the game, its values, and sportsmanship.
Nothing could be more near and dear to our hearts than these two great causes. The sense of accomplishment in completing the 100 holes will fall way short in comparison to what we are doing to support them.
For those of you who have pledged your support to us through sponsorship that day—thank you, it means so much to us. For those of you who are unaware of this initiative, I am asking you hat in hand to participate in supporting this event. Attached is a donation form, which we hope you will consider. Sponsorships/donations are tax deductible and can be charged to your member account. We encourage you to come follow us on the 3rd!
Many thanks for your support,
Jason Epstein, PGA
