The Showdown
All of the The Showdown participants had a great time at The Club’s showcase event. A special thank you to the Men’s Tournament Committee – Doug Hailey, Gary Seger and John Wilcynski for all of their help in the planning. The event is made special by the hard work and effort of all of The Club’s employees. I am especially proud of my team of Professionals whose commitment to excellence makes The Showdown so wonderful.

Club Championship
The Men’s and Ladies’ Club Championships will be held August 28th to August 31st. Teams will be flighted by handicap. While the champions divisions will be competitive and based on gross score, the remaining divisions will all be based on net scores from the tees you normally play. It’s a great way to test your game while having fun in the process. For more details reference your event booklets or the event tab on the ForeTees web site.
Las Campanas Mixed Foursome Invitational
The Couples’ Invitational is just around the corner…and we need your help! Teams can be comprised of members and guests or just members. This is a great couple’s event and always provides a great time for all! The Invitational is held September 4th to the 6th. You can register for the event on ForeTees or by calling the Golf Shop directly. All entries must be confirmed by August 22nd.

Today marks the last day for five of our summer interns. Austin, Brett, Brandon, Chris, and Craig all return to their Universities for Fall classes tomorrow. Each of our interns had a great experience this past season, due in large part to the encouragement and interests of our members…please join me in thanking them and thank you for your support.
Trans-Miss Reminder
The 2014 Trans-Miss Four Ball will be held September 7th to the 10th. Please be reminded that the Sunrise course will be closed over these dates. Sunset will be available on its normal schedule for tee times. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Men’s and Ladies’ Day
Join us Wednesdays for Men’s and Ladies Day’s. A great way to meet members or to catch up with old friends, we hope to see you here. 9 a.m. shotgun start.
