The Club at Las Campanas is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Loan as its General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (COO). David assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operations and strategic development of The Club in early-to-mid May. He brings superior management, leadership, people development, and financial acumen to the position-with a breadth of private club executive experience spanning more than 25 years.
David has been a leader in the world of private clubs, providing organizational and operational oversight at some of the most exclusive clubs in North America. He comes to us after a successful tenure as General Manager/COO at Hilton Head Island’s Long Cove Club, which is a top 100 Golf Digest golf course and was recently selected as a Platinum Club by Club Leaders Forum magazine. Previously, he was GM/COO at Travis Pointe Country Club in Ann Arbor, Michigan; acted as General Manager at Oak Pointe Country Club in Brighton, Michigan; and held GM positions with several high-end Canadian country clubs. Additionally, David is an active member of the Club Managers Association of America and holds its Club Manager certification.
David is an innovative educator, having authored a college-level textbook in Golf Club Administration, held an instructor position at Selkirk College in Golf Club Management, and taught club management in Asia. This unique background allowed him to hone his coaching style of management, which he has employed with great success.
Making a positive contribution to the ongoing success of The Club at Las Campanas is David’s chief objective. “My responsibility as General Manager will be to effectively lead the staff, Board, and various committees, and to ensure the financial health and continual improvement of The Club.”

David and his wife, Patti, are proud to have raised three independent and creative children (Dustin, 28, Richard, 24, Alyson, 22). Please join me in welcoming David and Patti to The Club at Las Campanas.
