Members of The Club at Las Camapanas can enjoy the jazz stylings of acclaimed jazz singer Giacomo Gates and an Italian Dinner Buffet with the artist on Fathers Day, Sunday June 20. Gates is heavily steeped in the traditions of vocal improvisers such as Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald and their modern counterparts, Betty Carter and Leon Thomas. Known for his interaction with his live audience, Giacomo’s sheer joy, exuberance, wit and unlimited creativity make him one of jazz’s most compelling artists. In 2009, Gates was nominated Best Male Jazz Vocalist by the Jazz Journalist Assoc. of America.
