Santa Fe, NM – September 20, 2012 – The Santa Fe County Projects, Facilities and Open Space Department is hereby notifying all residents and businesses that a section of Caja Del Rio Rd. (approximately 0.33 miles north of the Marty Sanchez Golf Course Entrance) will be closed for approximately five days starting Friday, September 28, 2012 at 6 p.m. It is anticipated the road will reopen no later than Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 6 p.m., pending good weather conditions and not encountering unforeseen field conditions. Drivers should expect to seek an alternative route during the closure and allow for additional time to navigate the planned detour. The planned detour will be clearly marked whereby traffic will be redirected through Las Campanas Drive to Camino La Tierra to NM599 (please see attached Detour Route Map). All residents north of Marty Sanchez Golf Course will have access to their residences by utilizing the planned detour for the duration of the closure. As part of the Caja Del Rio Road Improvements Project, Santa Fe County must install an 8 ft. diameter culvert pipe across Caja Del Rio Road. This road closure is being coordinated jointly by the Santa Fe County Public Works Department, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department, Santa Fe County Fire Department, The Louis Berger Group, Inc, and Albuquerque Asphalt, Inc. Work is scheduled to be performed around the clock until completed. If you require additional information about this road work, contact Chuck Vigil, Santa Fe County Road Projects Manager at 992-3018 or email at cevigil@santafecountynm.gov. Santa Fe County Public Works would like to thank residents in advance for their patience and cooperation. ###
