Las Campanas Community Foundation raises money in our community to give grants for non-profit organizations in Santa Fe.
This email is about the Bluebird Trail here in Las Campanas.
The Las Campanas Community Foundation Bluebird project started about 3 years ago with a combination of nesting boxes on the golf course and boxes along Clubhouse Drive in Las Campanas. The nesting season for Bluebirds is March through June.
All of Las Campanas Owner’s and Members are invited to participate. For a donation of $125 to the Las Campanas Community Foundation you can have your own Bluebird house. Your house can be placed on your property, or on the new Bluebird trail along Las Campanas Drive. This is truly a community project. Tom Egelhoff, the golf superintendent at Las Campanas, and aviary expert makes the houses and mounts them on a post. Susie Rettig carves a name that the donor’s request, then Tom places the house where the donor desires.
Over the last 3 years this program has accounted for well over 150 new Bluebird families in Las Campanas.
