Continuing Art Classes at Studio 80 at Las Campanas

Lyndall Bass has been leading a drawing class at Studio 80 at Las Campanas for the past few weeks. Current students would like to continue this class as a Las Campanas University group learning activity, and Lyndall has offered to mentor our progress. Lyndall believes that most painters benefit from the practice and review of the principles of draughtsmanship. Beginning, intermediate, and experienced artists are invited to join the class that will focus on learning or improving lines, contours, perspective, composition, and light/shadow skills. Subject matter will include still life, portraits, landscapes, photographs, and more. Five participants per week are required for the class to occur.
Lyndall Bass attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and has a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Instructional Systems Design from Indiana University. Her work is a reflection of classical traditions, focused on oil painting and drawing in graphite. Lyndall’s Union Shield design for the reverse of the 2010 Lincoln penny has been selected as the winning design in a government competition with eighteen finalists.
