SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — American Eagle is adding a second daily round-trip flight between Santa Fe and Dallas.
The additional link with American Airlines’ hub at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport will begin Nov. 19. The same day, American Eagle will begin its previously announced nonstop service between Santa Fe and Los Angeles.
The American Airlines regional carrier began once-a-day flights to Dallas last month on 44-passenger jet aircraft.
The general manager of the Santa Fe Municipal Airport, Jim Montman, says he’s not surprised by American Eagle’s decision to add another Dallas-Santa Fe flight. He has said many of the flights in the once-a-day schedule were close to full.
Montman says Dallas and Los Angeles are important destinations that will be popular with travelers.
