Readers ranked 35 metropolitan areas on a variety of travel-friendly qualities, such as hotels, local microbreweries and wireless coverage.To determine the eco-friendliness of each spot, Travel + Leisure looked at cleanliness, pedestrian-friendliness, public transit and public parks.Santa Fe took the No. 10 spot for green cities, with readers noting it doesn’t feel mass-produced or dangerous. The Santa Fe Community Convention Center is LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and the population got kudos for being “quirky.”
