Another Shred It event is planned for Las Campanas on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Shred-It truck will be onsite at the Las Campanas Association Office parking lot for all owners wishing to shred old files, documents, credit cards and other paperwork. The Shred It truck uses an industrial shredding machine equipped with custom-built shredding systems that securely and efficiently destroy everything from confidential documents to CDs. The most commonly shredded items are unwanted receipts, checks, pre-approved credit applications and old tax returns. There is no charge to Las Campanas owners for the service.
Professionals advise owners to always shred old paperwork containing names, addresses, social security numbers or other valuable information that might be accessed by people intent on identity theft.
