Going the Extra Mile to Create Something Truly Special

Santa Fe’s unique architecture and cultural history drew Roger Hunter, President and owner of Roger Hunter Builder/Designer/Architects, to New Mexico from Amarillo, Texas 18 years ago. Since then, the company has been creating custom homes in Santa Fe County that are known for their exceptional level of quality and attention to detail. Additionally, his company’s homes have garnered such accolades as the 2002 Haciendas—A Parade of Homes Grand Hacienda Award.

The free-flowing architecture of Santa Fe attracted Hunter, especially the versatility of adobe construction and its combination of plaster, wood and stone work. He enjoys the challenge of crafting these elements to suit the visions, sites and special requests of his clients. Santa Fe’s eclectic culture and openness is also an asset to custom homebuilding, Hunter says, as it allows him to be more creative with his projects.

Hunter counts finding a good match with a client among the best things about each project. And to that match he brings “the ability to dig into a client’s mind and build something he was dreaming about.”

With 24 employees, Roger Hunter Builder/Designer/Architects offers a proven team that attends to all aspects of custom homebuilding. The company does most of its work in Las Campanas. Hunter credits the development’s membership and homesite variety with countless opportunities to create something truly special, capturing stunning views and taking advantage of golf-course living.
