Homecomings: The Warmth of Functional Design and Fine Construction
When David Waszak designs and builds a house, it’s likely to win awards, like nods from statewide competitions or the annual Haciendas—A Parade of Homes. The house may grace a magazine cover or garner peer recognition. But invariably—and most important to the Waszaks—the client will say “it feels like home.” “That’s the best compliment,” says Christie Waszak. “A home can be beautiful, elegant, and gracious, but also warm, inviting and comfortable. So when people walk in, they say, ‘I could move in here now.’”
Waszak Enterprise, Inc. takes great care to design and build homes that consider clients’ vision, lifestyle and dreams, as well as a site’s terrain and views. Each project reflects David’s commitment to functional design, quality materials and fine finish work. Since the boutique company builds only a few homes a year, David gives every project hands-on attention. This accessibility sets the Waszaks apart, establishing their reputation as professionals focused on client relationships.
David comes from generations of builders and grew up helping his father remodel houses. Waszak Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 1991 and has completed 20 homes in the Santa Fe area, as well as homes in Albuquerque and Corrales. “What is my favorite part of the homebuilding process? At the end of a project when we meet and exceed expectations, and we’re still friends,” comments David.
